Our history
The history of the Jaehrig Company began with the passion of its founder, Mr. Ralf Jaehrig, for the game of chess. The company was founded in 1986, when Mr. Ralf needed a chess clock to take part in a tournament and decided to build one himself.

Chess rules
Chess is a two-person game on a board with 64 squares. Each player has an equal set of 16 pieces. There are six different types of pieces and each one has different rules for moving and capturing. The aim of the game is to checkmate, i.e. threaten your opponent's king with an inevitable capture.
